Old prison at Annecy 11th century church at La Grave La Grave has over 7000 vertical feet of skiing. There is no grooming, no avalanche control, no closed signs, and no ski patrol. The mountain has not been adapted for skiers, here it is the skier who must adapt to the mountain. All of the guides are well-trained professionals who know the mountain and conditions. We operate much in the same manner as Heli-ski operations in Canada; great guided skiing, time to relax over a beer, followed by a wonderful French meal. In addition, we instruct our guests in valuable information about how to read mountain conditions, evaluate snowpack stability and the proper use of avalanche transceivers. La Grave has plenty of steep terrain which we progressivly introduce and teach steep ski technique. We take great pride to insure everyone has a fun, safe and memorable adventure. Currently, there is no other company offering such a complete package. Large tour companies are not able to dedicate the time necessary for the detailed input required to insure a rewarding and secure ski experience in this most unique area. We are in our eighth season, and each of the preceding years has given us extensive insight and knowledge as to what the discerning skier expects when they decide to ski La Grave.
